The Center

WISE Women's Business Center

For nearly 20 years, the WISE Women’s Business Center (WBC) has been a trusted, go-to resource for women entrepreneurs in Central New York. Founded in 2002 as an initiative of the Whitman School of Management’s Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises (EEE) program at Syracuse University, WISE was created to support, connect, and empower women in business at every stage of their journey. WISE quickly became known for its signature event, the WISE Symposium, which ran from 2002 to 2018 and brought together hundreds of women leaders, entrepreneurs, and business owners each year for inspiration, education, and connection.

We’re proud to be one of more than 150 Women’s Business Centers nationwide, funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and one 26 NYS Entrepreneurship Assistance Centers (EAC).

Today, WISE WBC continues that legacy, offering no-cost, personalized business counseling, expert training programs, and state certification assistance. Our experienced team helps women entrepreneurs navigate challenges, access capital, and grow thriving businesses — from food trucks and creative studios to manufacturers and accounting firms.
