Social Media for Business: To Post or Not to Post

In business, can there be such a thing as using too much or too little social media? Is the world oversaturated by Facebook status updates, Twittering and LinkedIn events? Does it hurt your business if employees are using time at work for posting to these sites?

Or can it be helpful for businesses to get as much information out there as possible, to connect with our customers and create an interactive dialogue where feedback is encouraged? Does it give our networks an insight into the business in a non-intrusive manner, receiving the information only when they choose to ‘become a fan’?
